In the church of St Mary of the Royal Alcazares we find the figure of Jesus of Nazareth. A child dreams of being a “costalero” (pall bearer) like his father, but he is still very young. One April morning he gets lost among the repentant sinners. He is found dead under the throne of the Christ, with an angelic smile on his face.To this day his spirit flies around the nave of the church guarding the Image of Christ. | |||
